The Iphone is a cultural and technological phenomenon the likes which i have not seen since the Tamagotchi and Nokia 8250 (yes the small phone with that blue color screen).

You see im someone who loves to change my handphone. In fact it was like a hobby in my younger days (18-24). I never owned a single handphone for more than 2 months so i was rather skeptical of many ppl’s claims that the Iphone is the last and only phone i will ever need. So i didnt give in. NO! I said. I wont jump on the freaking red bandwagon.

I finally caved in last year. My sis had bought the Iphone 3GS and got sick of it within a month. I reluctantly took over ownership and something magical and unexpected happened. The Iphone lived up to the hype. It made me wonder how i managed to live without it the past few years. I knew for sure i was never gonna change to a non Iphone.

Then Apple released the Iphone OS 4 firmware and took a big fucking shit in my face and all current owners of the Iphone 3GS. The firmware reduced the battery life significantly (at least 40%) and made the phone laggy for no apparent reason. I feel that it is a major marketing ploy to make all current 3GS users to switch to the new Iphone 4 which SURPRISE SURPRISE happens to promise major upgrades in battery performance. Oh a couple of side notes abt the video calling feature of the Iphone 4- both callers involved need to own an Iphone 4 AND be on a wifi network. If im home and want to webcam/videocall someone i think i would just rather use my laptop. The reception quality is reported poor also for standard calls.

So if anyone asks the IN question to me now (U gonna get Iphone 4 ?), i wont give in. NO! I WONT! but maybe……. FUCK LA!
